Schick Xtreme 3 Razors Review

I consider Schick to be in competition with Gillette as the #1 brand for razors. There are other brands with
very good razors but compared to these two, they really take the cake in many styles and types of razors they
manufacture. I also can’t complain about the majority of their practices to make sure that each razor is fit to be
used against my skin. One particular line of interest is the Schick Xtreme 3 razors.
The Xtreme 3 line comes in a few flavors including the Comfort Plus, Sub Zero, Sensitive for women, and the
disposable. Let’s look at some of the common features between them and what makes this line desirable to the
average person.

The first thing that makes these razors stand out is their razor blades. In order to get an extremely close
shave they have designed the razors to flex and pivot to the contours of your skin. This is a patented technology
that Schick holds and it is a very interesting concept. However I don’t find that it is really used as much as they
claim. In fact, to make the blades bend and contour you have to apply a bit of force. For shaving, adding extra
force is a recipe for disaster, at least in my case.
Many people have reported that Schick razors clog up easily so they
worked their design to allow more free flowing shaving foam and hair to pass through. Personally I have dense hair
so this was a major concern for me.
The Shick Extreme 3 razors that have replaceable heads are good but they can be expensive. They have a line of
Xtreme 3 disposable razors which I find work just as well. In fact these disposable razors are a lot cheaper that
buying a pack of Gillette refill cartridges. Although I prefer other razors for daily
use, I think the Xtreme 3 disposables are perfect for travelling with.
The Comfort Plus caters to people who have sensitive skin. They are for men but women may find them of use aside
from the ones designed for women. They have all of the common features like aloe moisturizing strips and a gentle
feel.
