A look At The BIC Soleil Razors

Women need to shave just as men do but often in different areas. For a woman, her legs arms and sensitive areas are priority. BIC offers a line of razors called Soleil. Many people consider BIC to be struggling behind when it comes to razors, so let’s have a look.

The BIC Soleil razor actually has many different features that you need to consider. The first one is something that is quite unique. Imagine a razor that gives off a smell, because that is exactly what some of these do. They come in two scents of lavender and citrus. The scent thankfully comes off of the handle rather than the lubricating strips.

Speaking of strips, they have two lubricating strips. Again not all models, but most, contain aloe moisturizing properties. I have to say that the strips don’t lubricate as much as they should and I don’t like the way they feel. Some friends of mine actually said it tore her legs up. For sensitive skin they seem to be okay but I would prefer something a bit more reputable.

If you want the latest in technology, the Soleil razors are a bit behind. They now have 3 blades on both the completely disposable and the disposable blade versions. The refill cartridges are pretty standard and connect to the razor without a problem. One thing for sure is that the razors are extremely sharp. In fact, some people actually like to dull the blade slightly before using them because they are prone to cutting and scraping your skin.

I have to say that if you were to hold both versions of razors in your hands, it is hard to tell which one is disposable and which is not. I don’t think they have the quality for being used often.

Unfortunately I can’t recommend these razors because of how many problems with shaving I’ve had with them. And from what my friends and others have said it just doesn’t make sense to waste the time money and effort. This makes me wonder what BIC was thinking. Nobody wants to do a quick shave before heading to the beach only to have a 2inch chunk of skin missing because the razor blade was not up to standard. I think for women specifically, they would want to go with something like the Gillette Venus Breeze which has a better reputation for women shaving. Don’t let the BIC Soleil Razor packaging fool you. Just because it is pretty, doesn’t mean it is good.
