The BIC Metal Razor Is The Best Razor

Disposable razors come in many varieties and are usually made from cheaper materials since they are not meant to last for a long period of time. Some of us use disposable blades with a more permanent handle and all others are only considered for travel and vacation purposes. But there is one, and I mean only one, disposable razor that is made from quality materials and gives you a shave like none other.

The razor I’m talking about is the BIC metal razor. Just like the name says, it does in fact have metal parts but not completely. It doesn’t feel as heavy as other razors but it won’t break if you drop it. But you can figure all of that out for yourself so let me tell you about the shaving experience I’ve had with them.

BIC Metal Razor

The biggest problem I find is that these razors are extremely hard to get. Currently I have to resort to buying them on amazon.com because my local drug stores won’t carry or order them. And on that same note, they aren’t cheap but they will last a lot longer than their plastic counter parts.

With almost every brand of razor out there, they have resorted to using 2, 3, 4, and even 5 blades. The BIC Metal razor only has one blade which surpasses all of the other BIC razor blades that they use in their other models like the BIC Comfort and BIC Soleil.

The razor handle itself is simple and doesn’t flex or bend and the single blade reminds me of a straight razor. These two things alone are what I need for a good shave. I have very thick and dense hair growth and this razor cuts through it much better than the multiple blade razors out there. In fact I rarely have any complications when shaving with it because my hair doesn’t clog up which would force me to mess around and try to clean it out to take another pass.

Another feature is the metal bar before the blades. This bar helps prevent you from getting nicks or cuts. I don’t have the most perfect skin but this has definitely saved me a great deal of bleeding. And since the bar itself leaves some space between the blade and the bar, you really don’t need to rise the razor until you are done because it won’t backup or clog.

I mentioned earlier that these razors are expensive, and that is no joke. However, with my thick facial hair I am able to get about 1 week of use per razor. And the shave feels much closer.

So in the end I think the BIC metal razor is something you should at least try out. It’s frustrating to shave all the time let alone find a good tool to do the job. In this case, simple really is better. You will find many reviews on this razor and every single one of them praises this razor, and rightfully so. I hope BIC continues to make them and reintroduces them in more shops to be purchased at.
